Its surface is smooth and pleasant to the touch. looks nice as a wall cork, but also has practical use at home and in the office.

Preparation of cork products

Cork is a natural raw material obtained from the cork oak. This species is found mainly in the countries of Southern Europe, mainly in Portugal, but also in Spain, Italy and France. Portugal is also a major supplier of cork that exports worldwide. The cork oak is a long-lived plant (250-300 years) and grows up to about 20 m in height and has a spreading crown. It is distinguished by its corrugated and thick bark, which is the source of the cork. The first harvest is carried out when the tree is at least 25 years old and is carried out only by skilled workers so as not to damage the internal tissues. After debarking, this material is dried, thermally prepared and then sent to production plants dealing with the production of cork products.
